Doug is known throughout the industry for his extensive and in-depth knowledge of the New York City real estate markets. Most of all, he is known for the passion that he brings to his unique practice, marketing and selling Manhattan and Brooklyn real estate. In 2015 & 2016 he was named as one of the Top 1000 agents in the US by Real Trends as published by The Wall Street Journal. He is frequently quoted in the New York Times, New York Post, The NY Daily News, NY Observer, The Real Deal, Curbed, Brownstoner and more. A retired movie set builder, turned townhouse investor then broker, Doug owns a portfolio of 5 townhouse properties, which he has extensively renovated over the last 16 years. His vast knowledge of construction is a cornerstone of his brokerage practice.

In addition to steady stream of resale work, helping clients sell, buy and rent their condominiums, coops and townhouses, Doug has also worked extensively in the new development space since 2006. He was Director of Sales for 125 North 10th Street, an 86-unit condominium development in Williamsburg, partnering with the developers from the pre-development stage all the way through the sellout of this now premiere address. Doug also consulted, start to finish, on the design of 144 North 8th; a "tower and platform" condominium building that sold out within 3 months and set a new bar in Williamsburg in 2010. He continues to consult with many of the top New York City developers on new buildings, especially in Brooklyn. He is currently working to bring to market two new development condominium projects, one in Chelsea and one in Downtown Brooklyn.

Doug lives in a townhouse in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn that he gut renovated. Active in his community, he is a board member of the BID (Business Improvement District) for the Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership and a member of both The Society for Clinton Hill and The Fort Greene Association. Doug was part of the creation of Brooklyn's most recent Landmarked District, Wallabout, near the Brooklyn Navy Yard. He is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY), where he has been both a panelist and moderator for their broker education programming. He sits on REBNY's Brooklyn Committee (5 years), which helps to shape the future of brokerage in the borough. Additionally, Doug is a New York Residential Specialist, a REBNY "Board Certified" designation awarded to top New York City brokers who have successfully completed a special coursework and education in real estate brokerage, law, ethics, marketing, and finance.
